Beer Can Design
For this project, I designed a set of matching beer cans for Shillow Beer Company, a local Ottawa brewery. The goal was to create a design that captured the city's character while complementing the brewery’s focus on unique and flavorful beer combinations.
My Process
Crafting the Brews
I began by researching interesting places in Ottawa, drawing inspiration from the city's landmarks, culture, and history. With these influences in mind, I sketched various concepts and explored different color palettes to find the perfect visual balance.
Final Results
A Matching Pair
Bringing everything together, I crafted a set of beer can designs inspired by two iconic Ottawa landmarks—the romantic love locks at Hogs Back Falls and the intricate Gothic architecture of Notre-Dame Cathedral. The final cans feature matching colors, thoughtful illustrations, and a strong sense of place, creating a collection that feels both distinct and cohesive.
