This project involved designing a promotional poster for a fictional fantasy book convention in Ottawa. The event brings together fans, authors, and creators, featuring book sales, handmade merchandise, and Q&A panels with popular writers. The goal was to create a visually engaging poster that captures the magic of fantasy while clearly presenting key event details.

Designing the Experience
With only two weeks to complete the project, I started with a creative brief, mood board, and sketches to explore ideas. The biggest challenge was balancing a rich fantasy aesthetic while keeping the design readable and original. I carefully selected typography, color palettes, and illustrative elements to create an eye-catching yet functional design suited for both print and digital use.

The final poster features a bold fantasy-inspired composition that appeals to book lovers, especially those in the BookTok community. A carefully curated color scheme and intricate details bring the theme to life, while a QR code directs viewers to more event information. The result is a striking, immersive design that effectively promotes the convention and invites attendees to join the experience.
